ILA Collections Group Mailing List - Key Information

We are delighted to announce that the ILA Collections Group mailing list is officially live. The list is hosted on JiscMail and has a homepage at: www.jiscmail.ac.uk/ILACOLLECTIONS

The list is intended as a space for networking and sharing of best practice for staff at any ILA member institution. The list can be used to ask questions, seek advice, and establish best practice on any aspect of collections management.

Matthew Brooke, Director of Collections and Library Services at the London Library, is the list administrator. To join the list, please email ILACOLLECTIONS-REQUEST@JISCMAIL.AC.UK

Once you are subscribed, to send emails to the whole group, send to: ILACOLLECTIONS@JISCMAIL.AC.UK. Emails sent to this address will be distributed to all members of the group. A few further points for clarification:

·         Only subscribers may post to the list.

·         The list archives are PRIVATE (and NOT publicly available through search engines).

·         Replies to posts are sent to the list.

·         Only the list owners can view subscriber name and email address information.

·         Posts with attachments cannot be sent.

·         Periodically, a list of subscribers will be circulated to the whole group. This list will contain name, email, institution and job title.
